Tim Hutchings makes systems with uncertain outcomes. These might be games or performances or studio processes which produce things resembling gallery art. He has an MFA in sculpture from Yale University and has had eleven solo exhibitions in New York City and a handful abroad. As a game designer, he is best known for his solo roleplaying game Thousand Year Old Vampire.
Currently, Hutchings is editing the book series Art & System: Games for Expanded Play for the Central Michigan University Press and is an adjunct research fellow at the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
